Games Art and Character Design

The UK gaming market alone is a growing industry hitting record annual income generation exceeding £8bn. To support this growing and evolving sector, and the creative talent to supply it, Arts University Bournemouth have developed a new ‘Games Art and Character Design’ summer course for ambitious students who want to design imagery and assets for innovative games on a variety of different platforms, that includes, character and environment design with a focus on visual narrative and play. 

Students will be introduced to the key-skills, ingredients, and concepts of games design principles and practices to support creating a credible portfolio of work in which to build upon and showcase individual talent to support application to undergraduate studies and/or underpin future career aspirations.
