Fashion Design and Styling

The UK fashion industry is one of the most vibrant and creative business sectors in the country. It has universal appeal and has visually defined periods in time across the centuries. The industry is revered and consequently produces some of the world’s most innovative designers, from John Galliano to Vivienne Westwood. The innovation and inspiration showcased on the catwalks drive the wheels of our industry and have been likened to Research and Development in other great industries.  

This summer course is ideal for those students who are considering further studies or a career in fashion, where you will be introduced to the key concepts in fashion design, styling, promotion, editorial and blogging. Through a combination of studio based practical exercises, this course will introduce you to both the design and styling process and the promotional side of the fashion industry. Delivered in our dedicated fashion studios and workshops, you will experience the full fashion design process, starting with research, translation and drawing techniques, through to garment design and styling.
