Silversmithing Jewellery Workshop (Stage 2) - Spring 2025

This new course has been specially developed for those students who have previously completed the introductory ‘Silversmithing Jewellery Workshop (Stage 1)’ or possess a solid grounding and have experience in jewellery design and making. This follow-on course is designed to give you the space, tools, and guidance to consolidate the skills you have previously gained and advance proficiencies through a series of concise projects designed to expand your soldering, annealing, texturing, piercing, sawing, and designing skills.  

You will renew and consolidate your understanding of the fundamental principles of jewellery making and build on your knowledge, you will be using the piercing saw, hammers, pliers, blowtorch, and polishing machine. The format consists of a short recap of techniques in the morning followed by a specific project designed to practice specific skills in the second half of the day, to design and create your own pieces of jewellery in a relaxed atmosphere under close guidance and direction of the vastly experienced tutor, Yvette Cannon.
