Tape Runs Out

Tape runs out is a collaborative project between Mark Hutchinson and Paul O’Neil. It involves the generous participation of David Burrows, as the writer, Pil and Galia Kollectiv , Barnaby Drabble, Sarah Pierce, John Lalor and Annie Fletcher who participated in email dialogues with Mark Hutchinson about the project and his work.

As Hutchinson states:
The project arose out of a desire to make visible the broader conversations that influence and constitute individual art practices.

The publication includes a transcript of seven recordings found on a disc marked ‘Unsolicited Proposal’: a recording of unknown origin and intriguing content.

Paul O’Neil is an artist, curator and writer currently based in London. David Burrows has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad. Mark Hutchinson is an artist, writer and organiser.
