Painting - Colour & ExpressionismPainting - Colour & ExpressionismPainting - Colour & Expressionism - Spring term (Monday) 2023/24DescriptionWhy do we have to grow up and stop playing? Join this fun and lively course that celebrates the notion of ‘art for all’ in an environment where you'll be encouraged to experiment with your artistic expression, where there is no right or wrong. No experience is needed and you don’t have to be able to draw, just bring your enthusiasm and the desire to learn. The course will encourage you to explore different methods of creativity and enjoy the process of creating art rather than focus upon the finished piece. Inspiration will come from the likes of Cave art, Japanese ink work, Kandinsky, Pollock, Matisse, and Rauschenberg. Colour will also play a big part of this course; how colour can affect us and influence our creative expression. Your tutor, Sarah L. Goy, has extensive experience as a practicing fine artist, trained illustrator, and in experimental animation. Her art practice and extensive world travels have heavily influenced her belief that art is for all; she will guide all students on the course to explore their own creativity and enjoy the process in a supportive and encouraging environment.
