Glass Art

This exciting new and highly practical course provides budding young artists aged 12-15 years with a detailed introduction to the world of painting on, and crafting, using glass, where students will be assigned a number of immersive 2-Dimentional and 3-Dimensional projects to develop their creativity and design skills using the alternative and unique medium of glass as their primary canvas. 

Taught by Julie James, experienced youth educator and creative professional, students will apply and release their imagination and develop creative flair through a series of captivating glass art workshops. Students will develop skills in drawing, design, and painting, whilst considering colour effects and shape to experiment with and perfect, before then applying their final designs to a variety of specially selected glass models and artefacts using specialist glass paints to acquire different effects and learn distinctive application techniques.
