Arts University Bournemouth have developed a brand new highly practical and immersive Saturday Art School course designed for students who wish to understand and practice eco-fashion design and construction, taking realistic concepts and ideas through to creation, and gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of their journey into sustainable fashion design and construction. During this exciting and highly engaging course, students will immerse themselves in the world of sustainable fashion and set their imagination free, find their creative design expression, explore numerous construction methods and techniques, and experiment with a wide variety of fabrics and materials to transform their ideas into actual repurposed and wearable fashion items. Aimed at young creatives aged 12-15 years, this course focusses solely on ecological friendly and sustainable fashion where used clothing items and surplus materials are repurposed through the process of deconstruction, redesign, and repurposed to produce innovative, ecologically friendly, and fully functional items of stylish clothing.
